OVERVIEW
To supply a Cat6 wired and wireless network to facilitate the 41,000 sq. feet of office space acquired by the SAB Miller Group at Bridge Street Plaza West in Reading. SAB Miller is one of the world's biggest brewers and has acquired the office space in order to support up to 400 of their staff. It is currently being used to support the rollout of a long term IT project.

THE MISSION
Having successfully completed several installations for the SAB Group at their UK headquarters and subsidiary buildings in Woking the LAN Platform were the first choice to undertake this new office space development in Reading to accommodate their consistently growing staff numbers.

The proposal for the project was to install Cat6 cabling throughout the office environment to supply services for PC's, VOIP, Wireless Access Points, Audio/Video systems and Security protocols.

The Hellermann Tyton Network Sciences Cat6 system was the ideal solution for this application due to its impressive ability to exceed Cat6 testing parameters on a regular basis. The project was completed well within the allowed timescales and to the highest standards as expected within this Grade 'A' office environment.

The project involved providing cabling solutions for many diverse workplace scenarios such as boardrooms, meeting rooms, hot desks, open plan desking areas, telephone booths and even the onsite bar.

CONCLUSION
The project was completed and issued a 25 year Hellermann Tyton Warranty which covers everything from cables, patch panels, outlets even down to the patching leads.

Mark Labbett, Director at LAN Platform commented 'We were very pleased to be contacted in the early stages of this project. Our staff assisted the I.T. team at SAB Miller in the design and build of the new network infrastructure and the project rolled out successfully on time and within budget'
